Fola Sutherland - Havilah Prospects - Inspire Aspire Workshop 5 Oct 2018

Fola Sutherland, Lead Occupational Therapist from Havilah Prospects came in on 5/10/2018 to run a 2 hour workshop on Occupational Therapy with our year 12 Health and Social care students.

Some of the activities/themes covered included:

• Looking in depth at the role of an Occupational Therapist
• Routes to qualifying as an OT. (Fola was kind enough to give an in depth account of her work experience so far).
• Interventions made by OT's to help service users many of whom have difficult upbringings (which can sometimes bring a host of issues from violence and aggression to family problems)
• A Q&A session, enabling our students to find out further information about Occupational Therapy.
