School's Digital Learning Resource - Firefly

Firefly is the school’s digital learning resource. Your child will be introduced to Firefly and how to log in during one of their first Computer Science lessons. Reminders of the login details are on the login page itself and on the school website, where you will also find a full Parent Guide to Firefly. Parent login instructions will be emailed out to you in September.

What is on Firefly?

Content includes lesson slides, worksheets, summary sheets, videos, animations and links to other rich online content such as quizzes and question practice. Perfect for revision and catching up on any work missed, we also encourage students to use Firefly to personalise their own learning to provide support or extension as appropriate. All homework is set on Firefly for students and parents to see.

What devices can Firefly be used on?

Firefly is a responsive website which will adapt to the device being used. As such it can be used on all devices including PCs, Macs, tablets and phones. School PCs are available for students to use before school, break, lunchtime and after school if access is limited outside school.

Is there a Firefly app?

The Firefly for Students and Firefly for Parents apps will allow you and your child to keep track of tasks, messages, feedback and more on the go. Students can also hand in work via the app. Note the apps do not replace the full mobile responsive website itself.

How can students get involved?

Our Student Digital Leaders work with teachers to run and develop the site. New Year 7s will have the opportunity to apply for this role in September.

Firefly and wider learning updates can also be seen on our Twitter account @HPdigitalLearn.

You will be given your login by your Form Tutor when you start school in September. This will consist of your user name and password. You will need to log in firefly for the first time in school, it will not work the first time from home.
