Partial Solar Eclipse 10 June 21

On Thursday 10 June 2021 a partial solar eclipse was visible from Highams Park.

Above are a selection of photos taken by 9b/Sc1 and 9b/Sc2 who were lucky enough to be able to safely watch the eclipse during their science lessons.

The patchy clouds cleared just enough for students to be able to view the eclipse through special eclipse viewers. The viewers also allowed them to take most of the photos above.

Further north the eclipse would have been even more impressive, with a full annular eclipse over the Artic.

Thank you to students in 9b/Sc1 and 9b/Sc2 for submitting your photos. More will appear above if you submit them to the Firefly Task set to you.
