Voice in a Million 2016

Voice in a Million 2016

On Thursday 3rd March a number of students from Highams Park School performed at the annual ‘Voices in a Million’ concert held at Wembley Arena. They have been busy rehearsing a number of songs since September and everyone was really looking forward to it. The excitement was still there on the morning of the performance as we were on the coach approaching Wembley. We arrived safely and took our place in the stand ready for rehearsals. This is where we have one final practice of all of the songs and make sure we hadn’t forgotten the dance moves! After rehearsal we had a quick break for food before the audience arrived.

As the arena filled up with eagerly waiting parents and relatives, the energy up in the performance area was electric. The lights dimmed and the show was underway! Over the 2 hour show the students sang a wide range of songs, including one from everyone’s favourite band One Direction! The energy and enthusiasm that the students showed was amazing, everyone knew the lyrics and the dance moves nearly set the place on fire! The time flew by so quickly for everyone involved so I guess that it is true, time really does fly when you’re having fun!
