Congratulations to our Burberry Finalist Owen: Thursday 25 June 2020

Burberry Competition
Back in
February, iconic British fashion house Burberry launched a national design
competition for secondary school students.
The brief was to design
a 6 piece capsule wardrobe (a collection of a few essential items of
clothing that do not go out of fashion, such as skirts, trousers and
coats).
The prize was a chance to win a trip to Burberry’s London HQ – to
tour their offices, meet their staff and learn about careers within the
fashion industry.
Year 10 student Owen Travis signed up for the competition straight away and we learnt
this week that his efforts have been reward as one of the 30
competition finalists. He should have been visiting
the Burberry’s Horseferry House Campus to present his design
ideas to an audience of Burberry employees, however this will
now take place online.
Congratulations to Owen
on all the hard work he put in during lockdown to produce his capsule
wardrobe and presentation. In addition, Owen along with each winner will
receive an exclusive prize from Burberry.
