Year 12 Careers Fair - Thursday 02 December 2021   

On Thursday 02 December 2021, Year 12 students were given a fantastic opportunity to participate in a careers fair.   Here are the workplace volunteers who kindly agreed to come in and motivate our students:

Metropolitan Police – Stacie and Katie – focusing on careers in Metropolitan Police Service and the new degree entry programme. This was very poplar as students were interested but also wanted to voice their opinions about the justice system which was taken on board by representing officers.

Vision Direct – Amanda Casela– focusing on Careers in Marketing and the different routes and opportunities that are available. Was able to link finance and marketing careers as quite often because students are limited with knowledge of what disciplines provide. Amanda was able to give an overview that left students more informed.

AccessHE – Beth Hayden– information on UCAS and other university support available to students on choosing right courses – taster courses that are accessible, virtual work experience, university interviews, support while studying and much more. Easy sign up via QR codes.

Social Services – Kandaze Joseph– Spoke about different careers in Health and Social Care and was able to answer student’s questions related to the profession, different routes and where it all leads to once they have finished university. Students were well informed through Kandaze’s expertise.

Uptree – Virtual assembly career options, gave lots of examples of work experience /apprenticeships opportunities that students can get involved in early next year which will be helpful for when thinking about work experience in the summer and personal statement. Over 30 students signed up to mailing list – GDPR in place.
