Digital Leaders take part in Firefly Virtual Roadshow - Wed 23 Nov 22

Three of our 6th Form Digital Leaders joined Mr Barker in presenting a webinar to other schools on our Digital Leader program.

Our talk was on "Taking our Digital Leader program to the next level" and the slides can be seen below. Yaseen, Hazal & Ahmed all spoke with confidence about what they enjoyed as a Digital Leader, work they have recently done to improve our Firefly site and where they felt we needed to improve.

Yaseen explained how being a Digital Leader has given him opportunities to work collaboratively in teams and present ideas to students in assemblies. He also shared his current plans for creating an animated advert to encourage more students to apply to be Digital Leaders.

Hazal spoke about how she has more recently joined the Digital Leaders and the maths pages she is currently creating to ensure that learning resources are widely available for all students.

Ahmed highlighted the teamwork aspect of being a Digital Leader and showed his commitment to creating content that they know is being used by students and his hopes for our Digital Learning provision to continue to improve.

Staff at Firefly and teachers from other schools were hugely impressed, with two schools already getting in contact to set up something similar themselves.
