Firefly Learning Roadshow 29 Nov 2018

The students planned and delivered two outstanding and inspirational "Roundtables", where they explained and demonstrated how they and the other student Digital Leaders at Highams Park run much of our Firefly site. Teachers from other schools, many from the independent sector, listened, watched and questioned the students with admiration and growing envy.

Rimvydas, Martina and Taha were utterly professional all day and blew the teachers away with their knowledge, skills and ability to clearly communicate why students should be at the heart of Digital Learning. They were the first students to ever attend a Firefly event like this and the Firefly team themselves were amazed by how well the students captured delegates' interest.

Comments in the accompanying Twitter Moment are just a fraction of the positive feedback and further interest we have had in our student-led approach to Digital Learning. Many stated that our Roundtable was the most inspirational part of the day and intend to set up similar groups in their own schools. The students were indeed a credit to the school , but also to themselves and the wider group of Digital Leaders past and present whose work they were able to show off.

Rimvydas, Martina and Taha have all been awarded Gold forms in recognition of their roles in such a fantastic day.
